What areas do you serve?
My office is located in Stone Ridge, NY, and serves the entirety of the Ulster County NY area. Whether you are looking for a Chiropractor in Kingston, a Chiropractor in Stone Ridge, a Chiropractor in Rosendale, or anywhere else in the surrounding area, we’re within easy reach.
Tell me about Applied Kinesiology and Chiropractic: How is this an advantage to me?
Because many of the common causes of pain are both spinal and muscle related. Applied Kinesiology (AK) allows me to utilize your muscles to help diagnose and correct problems – truth be told, it’s an excellent complement to Chiropractic Care. It can make treatment more effective, faster, and also decrease the number of visits you need. The best part is, AK is just a normal part of my treatment; you do (or pay) nothing extra.
How many times will you need to see me? I simply can’t be coming in several times a week, with no end in sight.
Because I utilize AK as well as Chiropractic, once a week is usually all that’s needed in the beginning. In some extreme cases, maybe twice the first week or two. But I want to get you on a once a week, then a once every other week, then a once every four to six week track as soon as possible.
Tell me about the visits – how long will you spend with me?
As long as it takes. Typically, your initial visit (the $97 one) will be 1 hr or perhaps more. Follow-ups range anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. I don’t watch the clock – I watch your health. Again, whatever it takes.
Is ongoing treatment recommended?
Once you are out of pain and feeling well, an adjustment every four to six weeks is usually recommended for general wellness. In most cases, this is very effective in preventing future instances of pain / misalignment. Of course, this is always optional on your part (we won’t pressure you at all) – however, we do find most of our patients see (or, more accurately, FEEL) the value of regular adjustments. But in the end, it’s for you (and your body) to decide.
You don’t take insurance. Yet you say you usually cost less out of pocket? How can this be so?
Because your insurance will almost certainly have a co-pay. Most are $20-$50 for Chiropractors. Combine this with multiple visits a week (as opposed to once a week here), and you can see the obvious out of pocket cost difference. PLUS, you can always submit the claim for my services to your insurer yourself – some companies will happily reimburse you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We are happy to accept cash as well as your personal check. In addition, we can accept your Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card as well as most debit cards.
Your fees seem a little lower than one would expect. $97 for the initial visit? $47 thereafter? Why?
If you only knew how much it costs any doctor to handle all the insurance stuff… trust me, it typically takes multiple people, making good salaries, plus benefits. This is an expense I do not have.
Is payment due when services are rendered?
Yes. Payment for that day’s appointment is due at the end of your appointment. This allows me to keep my fees low.
What are your hours of operation?
We are in the office Monday through Friday 10 AM to 6 PM with the except of Tuesdays. We also have Saturday hours from 9 AM to 1 PM. But in addition to that, we can be flexible. Tell us what works for you, and we will try to accommodate you.
